We recently had an all-hands meeting at the studio I work for. The president of the company stated that if given the choice between hiring someone who might not be incredibly experienced but was on an "upward trajectory" versus keeping an employee who night have a lot of experience but had flattened or reached their apogee... he would choose the person on the upward path every time.
This is how I see the issue of "experience" versus optimism and enthusiasm. Thousands of Americans all across the country also seem to believe that this country needs unity, energy and inspiration in order to propel itself into the future.
The campaign for the Democratic nominee will likely be a close contest, so expect a photo finish. But it is almost impossible to not feel excited by the energy and enthusiasm throughout the electorate.
