Senator Obama has won handily in most of the contests today, giving him a slightly greater lead in the delegate count. Meanwhile, McCain did not do so well as Huckabee won in both Washington and Louisiana. Huckabee pledged to remain in the race.
Many have criticized Huckabee for having "stolen" conservative votes from Mitt Romney. I am of the thinking that a candidate gets votes because they earned them from their constituents. I rejected this argument with Ralph Nader in the 2000 presidential election when he was accused of "losing the election for Al Gore" and I reject it now. Nader and Huckabee are getting votes from people who have CHOSEN to give them their votes. Pure and simple.
